The Zoomable Map

View, unfold, zoom in, explore. Take a bird’s eye view of the city, or
simply unfold to zoom into the area you want to see in detail. Now
that’s what I call usability.

Mixed Tape: Vodafone partner Si.mobil crowdsources street art

Cool crowd-driven campaigns are catching on everywhere. Case in point:
Vodafone’s partner in Slovenia, Si.mobil, hopes to make its message
stick with the recent rebranding of its youth-oriented mobile service
provider Orto. The “Live Your Way” campaign features a new medium of
youth self-expression: using colored tape to create public art, which
the company calls “sticky art.”

Street artists were encouraged to use Orto’s billboards as
blank canvases, as well as to create art in public spaces. While most
of the works are bright abstracts, one sly piece portrays a dog
urinating onto the street with a yellow lake spreading around it. Hey,
sometimes you have to take the good, the bad, and the urine when you
crowdsource your outdoor spend.

Popcorn from St John Ambulance

Popcorn from St John Ambulance is a hard-hitting film about first aid
set in a London cinema. In Popcorn, St John Ambulance show the
benefits of first aid and how accidents, like choking, can happen
anywhere, and at any time. St John Ambulance want you to know that
every year, 150,000 people die in situations where first aid could
have saved them. In most accidents, such as choking, effective first
aid can often be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.
